Tadiwa’s dedication and leadership skills were recognized when she was invited as a delegate to the CIOB Members’ Forum. This prestigious invitation allowed her to participate in discussions and decision-making processes that shape the future of the construction industry. In addition to her role as a delegate, Tadiwa was also voted into the Member Engagement Committee. This position underscores her ability to connect with members and foster a sense of community within the CIOB. At the Members’ Forum, Tadiwa actively participated in discussions and decision-making processes that shape the future of the construction industry. Her insights and contributions were highly valued, reflecting her deep commitment to the profession and her peers.

Tadiwa’s influence continued to grow as she was voted into the Member Engagement Committee, where she represents both Sub-Saharan Africa and the Tomorrow’s Leaders community. In this role, she focuses on enhancing member engagement and ensuring that the voices of young professionals are heard and addressed. Her efforts in this committee are a testament to her dedication to the professional development of her peers and the broader construction community. Tadiwa Taimu has demonstrated a strong commitment to both her professional development and community involvement through various initiatives. During her time in student societies, she actively participated in numerous activities that fostered her leadership and organizational skills. Her involvement in these societies not only helped her build a network of like-minded individuals but also provided her with opportunities to develop essential skills such as teamwork, communication, and project management.

In addition to her participation in student societies, Tadiwa has made a significant impact as a tutor. She has tutored children in subjects like mathematics, physics, chemistry, and English as a second language, particularly helping Japanese students. Her dedication to tutoring extended to assisting students with their applications to the University of Cape Town (UCT), guiding them through the process and ensuring they had the best chance of success.

One of Tadiwa’s most notable projects was a charity renovation she undertook in Grade 6 at Kgamogelo Day Care with a peer where they raised funds through fundraising initiatives. Driven by her passion for interior design and the built environment, she renovated a reading/playroom for pre-school students. This project not only showcased her enthusiasm and creativity but also her commitment to improving her community. The renovation provided a better learning environment for the children and highlighted Tadiwa’s ability to manage and execute a project from start to finish.
